The Island’s premier indoor climbing wall is located in a purpose-built area in Newport’s Medina Leisure Centre and is accessible seven days a week. The walls can be adapted for all levels of climbing ability.
The general-purpose wall, with shallow scoop features, large and small hand holds and dominant ‘Y’ shaped flake, is designed for the beginner climber.
A higher standard wall for technical climbing has small features evenly distributed to provide edges for hands and feet and is ideal for climbers of a higher standard.
For the experienced climber, a competition style end wall offers more of a challenge with two overhanging sections of two and three metres.
