Medina Theatre in Newport is a community-based theatre that plays host to a number of entertaining and varied performances. Seating an audience of 425 the theatre hosts a large number of both local and national plays, concerts, ballets and lectures throughout the year, catering for a large cross-section of the community.

Shanklin Theatre is a producing house. Generating 98 per cent of its output, shows and workshops are written and compiled in-house. All material is produced and directed by our resident artistic team. We produce our own scenery and props, from design to build and install. There's a wide range of activities taking place in the theatre apart from the shows you can see in the evening most times of the year. The Shanklin Stagecoach, which is held on Sundays to which 160 local children are currently enrolled; week-long workshops, where groups from the UK and Europe perform specially written pieces; community projects involving local children and adults; educational Whirlwind Workshops giving visiting or local school parties an introduction to the world of theatre.
